“Adding Machine” - der große Gewinner der Lucille Lortel Awards 2008

Lucille Lortel (1900-1999) war eine amerikanische Schauspielerin und Theaterproduzentin, die ganz sicher in Erinnerung bleiben wird, wurde doch ein Award nach ihr benannt, der seit 1986 jedes Jahr an die besten Off-Broadway-Produktionen vergeben wird. Hinter den Lucille Lortel Awards stehen drei Organisationen: die League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers, die Lucille Lortel Foundation und der Theatre Development Fund.
2008 konnte das Musical “Adding Machine” die meisten Awards abstauben, gleich vier an der Zahl, nämlich:
- Outstanding Musical
- Outstanding Director (David Cromer)
- Outstanding Lead Actor (Joel Hatch)
- Outstanding Lighting Design (Keith Parham)
