Wir wissen ja alle, dass Listen sehr beliebt sind, und das hat nun auch das Magazin Blender erkannt. Derzeit punktet es an der Popularitätsfront mit einer Liste der “50 schlechtesten Songs”. Ernst nehmen sollte man dieses Listchen freilich nicht, denn eine “Jury”, die ausgerechnet Songs wie “You’re the inspiration” von Chicago in diese Aufstellung aufnimmt, macht sich ziemlich lächerlich. Clay Aiken, kaum als US-Top-40-Künstler am Durchstarten, darf sich gleich auf Platz 11 einreihen, irgendwo zwischen Madonna und Stevie Wonder. Natürlich ist kein Heavy Metal-Song in dieser Liste und natürlich nichts von Nirvana und Konsorten, dafür aber “Sounds of Silence” von Simon & Garfunkel. Platz 1, “We built this city” von Starship, ist gar von einem Österreicher, Peter Wolf, produziert worden.
