Drew Sarichs neuestes Projekt, der Songzyklus »Ugly Nina«, feiert am 20. Juni 2012 im Wiener Ost Klub Premiere.

Handlung

Nina is a sixteen year-old victim, kept prisoner by an abusive father. Her only options for escape are a photograph of her late mother, and the pages of her beloved comicbooks. Even in the dark, solitude of her bedroom, the books have plans for Nina.

Gemeinsam mit dem Insomnia Quartet (Sarah Grubinger, Michaela Girardi, Georg Wimmer, Matthias Bartholomey), einem klassischen Streichquartett, erzählt Sarich die Geschichte der sechzehnjährigen Nina. Die Songs, geschrieben von Drew Sarich, wurden von Klemens Bittann für Streicher arrangiert.
