Auf ihrem Totenbett übergibt die alte Kammerzofe Christines einem Notar einen verschlossenen Brief. Er soll ihn in New York Erik Muhlheim persönlich übergeben. Erik lebt zurückgezogen als schwerreicher Mann in Manhattan. Kaum jemand hat ihn je gesehen, denn sein Gesicht ist entstellt. Sein Vermögen hat er in den Neubau eines pompösen Opernhauses gesteckt und wen wundert, dass er alles daran setzt, dass die berühmte Sopranistin Christine die Hauptrolle bei der Einweihung singt. So oder so ähnlich könnte die Story kurzgefasst lauten - die Story der Fortsetzung von Andrew Lloyd Webbers Musical “The Phantom of the Opera”. Nicht, dass das an sich etwas Neues wäre, die tatsächliche Neuigkeit ist, dass man es von Sir Andrew in seinem Video Blog erstmals sozusagen ganz persönlich erfährt:

“I am 60 floors up in my apartment in New York, having made a decision today that I will do the Phantom of the Opera sequel. I have met with a couple of people today that persuaded me to do it, who I will not reveal … (it’s a) very exciting day for me. I’m going to Los Angeles tonight and then I’m back for my son’s wedding on Saturday, but more of the Phantom sequel anon … it’s going to be very exciting, and I can reveal it will be set in New York.” [Story]
