Am 25. Juni 2007 beginnen die Dreharbeiten zu “Mamma Mia!”, der Verfilmung des gleichnamigen Musicals der Popgruppe ABBA. Mit an Bord ist Meryl Streep.
Nun konnte noch ein weiterer bekannter Name gebucht werden: Seine Herrlichkeit 007 a. D. vulgo Pierce Brosnan.
James, pardon, Pierce wird in “Mamma Mia!” die Rolle des “Sam” spielen und hat damit die Chance, sich an ABBA-Hits wie “S.O.S.” zu beweisen.
Dem Branchenfachblatt VARIETY diktierte der Schauspieler ins Mikro: “I said yes right away because it meant working with Meryl Streep. Secondly, I saw the show with my family in London, and found it just so wonderfully happy and joyful, and so pitched in time forever in the 1970s. What a kick in the pants, to be able to go off and spend time with Meryl on some Greek island, singing ABBA songs.” [Story]
