Von Kanada in die USA hat es die “Jesus Christ Superstar”-Version des Stratford Shakespeare Festivals schon mal geschafft. Ab November ist die Inszenierung von Des McAnuff im La Jolla Playhouse zu sehen. Die gesamte Cast der kanadischen Produktion wird in die USA übersiedeln.

Im La Jolla Playhouse wird “Jesus Christ Superstar” vom 18. November bis 31. Dezember 2011 zu sehen sein. Des McAnuff:

Andrew Lloyd Webber hat sich in den Medien in den letzten Wochen dafür eingesetzt, die Stratford-Version an den Broadway zu bringen. Das La Jolla Playhouse mag dafür eine gute Zwischenstation sein.
